After all these years you finally gained your freedom! No more expectations so you can do whatever you want. But how will you fill your days? Eldaro is created by and for elderly people which means there are more services than you can imagine to enjoy. If you need some inspiration, read about the essentials in this article.

Take on a (new) hobby

With all your newly acquired spare time, it is the perfect opportunity to discover new interests. It could be something creative like writing, playing an instrument, crafting, drawing, and so on. Or perhaps something that stimulates your intellect such as reading, learning a new language, playing boardgames or taking a cooking class for example!

Exercise

When you are getting older, it is crucial to exercise. Staying active will keep your mind and body young so that you can enjoy life to the fullest! Some prefer to go walking or cycling on their own, others join a club where they sport together with others. Don’t know what to choose? There is golf, hiking, cycling, roller skating, cross-country skiing, tennis, dancing, yoga, tai chi, swimming, water aerobics and so on.

Take care of nature

Here in Eldaro we live in close connection with nature. On a small scale, you can make sure that your garden is filled with blossoming flowers, flourishing plants and all kinds of small creatures. On top of that, you could set up your own vegetable garden. On a larger scale you could participate in clean-up events, help in the community gardens, take care of our beaches and forests and so much more!

Work

Just because you are retired doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy work anymore. There are plenty of places where you can work as a volunteer and help people, animals, nature… You could also take on a part time job or work full time. Anything is possible in Eldaro. You could even start your own business!

Travel

Eldaro has a total area of 102,775 km². That means there are hundreds, perhaps even thousands of small treasures, big beautiful landscapes and a lot of ‘wows’ waiting for you to be exclaimed. You can visit our capital and some of the largest cities in our country where you will be surrounded by our history. You can explore our vast coastal plains, dense pine forests, snowy mountains and freshwater lakes where our inhabitants love to participate in various activities. Of course we want you to enjoy the most of Eldaro but there is so much more to discover in the UBN. Travel abroad, chase adventures and return to Eldaro with a memory-filled mind!

Socialise

The more you try new things, the more people you will meet. Connect with likeminded people, talk to your neighbours and enlarge your network. Spend time with your friends and family, make new memories, cherish the old ones and spread love and joy from one person to another – it will come back to you in no time!
