Race against time to combat new virus

In the past week, tensions were running high between Eldaro and Infinitum. A new virus arose in both countries and initially, it was unclear where it originated from. Infinitum accused us of spreading false information claiming Renoxis had not been eradicated despite our scientific proof. As the first diagnosed patient lived in Infinitum, our authorities suspected that the country might have been trying to conceal the outbreak of an unknown virus caused by their experiments in the cryonics centre. That polarization between our countries turned out to be unfounded. After researching the virus ill people got infected with, it became clear that Renoxis has mutated into a new virus. Consequently, Eldaro withdrew its accusation and started a partnership with Infinitum to find a solution for the quickly spreading virus.

New virus

The new virus had been unnoticed for a while since the people infected didn’t show any symptoms. One of our inhabitants was invited to the cryonics department in Infinitum and was later confirmed as a carrier of the virus. Carriers like our citizen are assumed to have caused the virus to spread in Eldaro as well as in Infinitum. “We have never seen carriers of or asymptomatic people with Renoxis in the past. Over the years, we were aware of the possibility. We kept investing in research about carriers of Renoxis during the spread of the virus in our country. But since we have no cases anymore, that research stopped. Unfortunately, the virus has evolved into a new, more complex virus”, said Dr. Iniah Morgan, head of the Health Research Team of the Eldaro National Hospital.

Personal health potion for everyone

In order to contain the virus, experts from Eldaro and Infinitum are collaborating on a general vaccine for the inhabitants of Infinitum and all other UBN countries in case the virus spreads even further. Our Health Research Team is currently working on adapting the health potions to get rid of the virus as quickly as possible. It will prevent people from being contaminated with the new virus. Dr. Iniah Morgan said: “We will export our new Healing Potions, based on the proteins of the Renoxis Healing Potions, as soon as possible. It will approximately take one week for it to be ready. We ask everyone to stay calm and quarantined until the Potions are ready.” The potions create a good health and will protect us through the antibodies. The personalised potions will be available at your local pharmacy. On top of that, Eldaro has decided to close its borders. The borders will not open until each Eldarian has collected his potion. It is a form of collaboration. The sooner everyone has their personalised potion, the sooner Eldaro's borders will reopen and travelling will be possible again.

We stand together

Our partnership with Infinitum is growing and we are doing everything in our power to secure the well-being of both the Eldarians as the Infinits. Maude Lebowski, researcher of environmental epidemiology at Aeterna University said: “Eldaro and Infinitum stand together through this crisis. We are going to share our knowledge about the detection of the virus and contact tracing technology with Eldarian scientists. We are committed to secure the health of our people and believe that with cooperation, we’ll get the best results.”

We hope that there will soon be a general vaccine and that everything will go well in Eldaro and in Infinitum as well as in the rest of the United Branded Nations. Eldaro continues to work to improve its Healing Potions and these will ensure that Eldarians are strong enough for the new virus.
